The Festival
Inspired by the unlucky number 13, we have decided to challenge fate once
again and, just like three years ago, we've expanded our yearly Weekend
of Terror to a week long festival.
The location: the Alhambra Theatre, Weteringschans 134, Amsterdam.
We will be screening 42 films among which national or european premieres
of Lord of Illusions, Hellraiser 4, From Dusk Till Dawn, Strange Days,
12 Monkeys, Mute Witness and The Stendhal Syndrome.
In addition we offer a Wes Craven retrospective,
sidebar-programmes on Lucio Fulci and Euro-fantasy
and talkshows with a host of guests from Holland and abroad.
To top all this off, a Night of Terror will be held on Saturday April 20,
at which all-night marathon four audience favourites will be shown. The
venue for the night will be the beautiful Tuschinski Theatre, Reguliersbreestraat
26, Amsterdam.

The 13th Festival of the Fantastic Film (formerly the Weekend of Terror)
is an initiative of Stichting Film Events, and was sponsored by the City
of Amsterdam, the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Citroën,
Filmnet and Oor.
